Our own farm
Our pride, our passion and our roots: This is our own farm which we have been running in Wals since 1898. Our own vegetable cultivation and lifestock farming provide our kitchen in the Grünauerhof with high-quality products where you can taste the quality.
Our own produce for over 120 years
Everything began with a small farm at the Grünauerhof in Wals. Modernised and expanded many times since then, our farm still serves as a supplier for our culinary delights in the inn. This is also due to the personal responsibility of Georg Eisl, who runs the adjacent farm with its own vegetable cultivation and butcher’s shop.
Fresh from the field and processed by us
The freshly harvested vegetables, which thrive particularly well in the Salzburg basin, come from our fields. Our farm also includes a feed lot where about 20 cattle and about 40 pigs are raised at the same time. From our house’s own butcher’s shop, the products get directly to the kitchen without long transport and without interruption, where they are turned into the delicious and popular specialties. Culinary delights with a good conscience and with traceable origins - that’s what we, the Eisl family, stand for with our name.
Sustainability in our inn & hotel near Salzburg
Just like our own regional products, our commitment to sustainability is a testament to our love of the environment in the Salzburger Land. We always keep our business ecologically up to date and operate our own photovoltaic system to generate energy. Our air conditioning system is fed with our own well water. Furthermore, waste separation and avoidance, the use of local building materials and the careful use of resources are particularly important to us.
