The Untersberg is a majestic massif at the edge of Salzburg and can’t be overlooked from the hotel Grünauerhof. Go up with the Untersbergbahn cable car (the valley station is in St. Leonhard) and walk the last metres to the summit. Be cautious: the top station is in alpine terrain. Mountaineers can conquer the massif by themselves, for example over the Dopplersteig in about 3 hours.
